Dr Clare Jinks

I am a general committee executive member and my day to day role is still to be confirmed.
My research area is long term conditions in primary care, with a particular interest in musculoskeletal conditions (e.g. osteoarthritis) and multimorbidity. My research has focused on investigating the population burden and lived experience of osteoarthritis (OA); patterns and experiences of health care use; risk factors for onset and progression of OA; and interventions to optimise primary care management and self-management of musculoskeletal conditions alongside other long term conditions. I have mixed methods expertise and lead the design and implementation of process evaluations of complex interventions in the Research Institute (RI) for Primary Care and Health Sciences at Keele University. I also lead the Integrated Care research group within the RI and am a member of the Programme Steering Committee for the Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care West Midlands (CLAHRC WM).
