Sheffield - Academic Unit of Primary Medical Care

The Academic Unit of Primary Medical Care (AUPMC) is led by Professor Nigel Mathers and forms part of the the Medical School in the Faculty of Medicine. Our activities include teaching across all phases of the undergraduate medical curriculum and the supervision of postgraduate students, both nationally and internationally. Our research is embedded in primary and community care with expertise in, for example, complex interventions, qualitative and quantitative research, randomised controlled trials and mixed methodologies. We have established research collaborations with other departments within the University, NHS partners, charities and both national and international organisations.
